The reason why Ann Arbor duo Tommorowland have succeeded in freeing themselves from the ten ton weight that is the "Michigan space rock" tag is their reluctance to ever give into said genre's pointless noodling. Instead, Steve Baker and Nick Brackney choose to investigate a more inner, personal space - such as the buzzing domes and golden highways of circuitry, and the subatomic waltz of cell division.

The sixteen tracks on Microbe work best as a whole, sitting (or laying) down, in all of their particle-sized glory. It's not minimalism, but the heavenly vibrations too quiet for human ears.
