Last month several graduate students were conducting a topographical survey of a barren field just outside San Diego, when they came upon a small abandoned building. "It was this odd configuration of cinderblocks, aluminum siding, and duct tape - but it was surprisingly well designed," said one student.

A giant emerald green El Dorado with Detroit plates was parked outside and, according to reports, was filled with such a thick tangle of cords, surge protectors, and cables, that entering the car was impossible. Inside the makeshift building, the students found an old Atari 400, a broken CalecoVision, and several modified recording devices. A CD labelled 'etronique' was taped to the wall and, through a lucky series of events, it made its way to Red Antenna's Research & Development department.

The El Dorado has since been impounded, yet no one has stepped forward to claim it.
