Karl Zeiss is the project of two brothers, Tee and Dan, often mistaken as the same person. The product is punk-funk techno for the dancefloor. Music enthusiasts describe their first release on Red Antenna as slippery and carefully crafted minimal techno with "brilliant percussive pressure, tuned low end sonics, and ample helpings of funk" (Syntax).
The Karl Zeiss live show involves both audio and visual components: Tee performs their music in a continuously-mixed style using Ableton Live, while Dan provides original slide-projected art works. |
